Pasco man arrested for rape in Pullman
A Pasco man was arrested early Saturday morning after he allegedly broke into an apartment a few blocks from the Washington State University campus and raped a woman.
The victim was sleeping in her boyfriend’s apartment waiting for him to return when Tyler E. Hansen, 19, reportedly came in through a window, an official with the Pullman Police Department told the Tri-City Herald.
Hansen fled when the boyfriend arrived, leaving behind most of his clothes, his wallet and cellphone, reported radio station New Country 104.5. Police found Hansen several blocks away with nothing but a blanket. He was reportedly intoxicated and is not a WSU student.
Hansen was booked on suspicion of second-degree rape and first-degree burglary. The victim was taken to an area hospital.
