A Connell woman is suspected of driving under the influence after she wrecked her car Friday evening.
Leah Nischan, 26, of Connell, was driving east on Highway 260 when she left the highway to the right just east of Highway 395 at Milepost 8, according to the Washington State Patrol. Her 2015 Nissan Versa hit an embankment at 7:46 p.m. and was totaled.
Nischan, who was not wearing a seatbelt according to a police report, was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. The state patrol is considering charges of driving under the influence and second-degree negligent driving.
