Convicted child molester living in Franklin County

A high-level sex offender convicted of molesting a child is now living in Franklin County but is considered homeless.

Jerome Lionel Pleasant, 25, recently notified the sheriff’s office he is a transient.

He has a 2006 conviction for first-degree child molestation in Franklin County and a 2013 conviction for failing to register as a sex offender.

He is ranked as a Level 3 sex offender, meaning he is considered the most likely to reoffend.

He is currently under supervision by the state Department of Corrections but is not wanted for any new offense.
