Gun call leads Richland police to wanted man

A man with 13 arrest warrants was caught by Richland police after he allegedly flashed a BB gun that looked like a semi-automatic handgun during a dispute at a 7-Eleven store.

Police were called to the store on Jadwin Avenue shortly after midnight on Monday morning.

A short time later officers pulled over a suspect car near Van Giesen Street and Birch Avenue, and passenger Justin Wilkie, 21, reportedly had a BB gun in his pants.

Police discovered Wilkie had more than a dozen Benton County warrants and they took him to the Benton County jail.
