Pasco police raid shuts down apparent drug house
City officials closed off a Pasco home where eight people were arrested Thursday during a raid by a special police unit.
The house on the 500 block of South 25th Avenue was littered with bags of methamphetamine and heroin, needles and other drug paraphernalia, police said.
When the police department’s Street Crimes Unit searched the house Thursday morning there were 11 people inside, authorities said. Three had state Department of Corrections’ warrants.
The city determined the house was unsafe due to “deplorable” conditions inside, police said. Anyone who wasn’t arrested was kicked out.
Police have yet to identify the people taken into custody.
