Teen arrested in Othello High School arson case

A teen has been arrested for allegedly setting fire to two garbage cans at Othello High School.

The separate fires broke out at the high school Tuesday and led to students evacuating for a period of time. Fire crews and staff helped put the fires out.

Police arrested Jonathan Larios, 18, on Wednesday for allegedly starting the blazes, according to Othello police. Police were able to identify the Othello teen through security camera footage and tips.

Larios was booked into the Adams County jail on suspicion of first-degree arson.
