Fires caused damage Monday at a Kennewick hotel and two West Richland homes.

A small kitchen fire broke out about 10:45 a.m. at a West Richland home on the 44600 block of Casa Place. Crews were able to put the fire out before flames caused major damage.

Then, an electrical fire started inside the wall near the laundry room at the Kennewick Suites hotel on North Johnson Street on Monday morning. Fire officials say maintenance workers were working in the area when the fire started.

Guests were asked to evacuate briefly. Some smoke spread throughout the hotel, but the fire only caused minor damage.

A third fire about 2:30 Monday afternoon caused about $75,000 of damage to a garage on North Harrington Road in West Richland. The accidental blaze started outside the garage and burned into the attic. No one was hurt.
