Pasco DUI crash injures four

An Idaho man was arrested for DUI after causing a two-car crash Sunday night in Pasco, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Ruben Melchor-Reyes, 46, was driving a Toyota Camry north on Highway 12 when he failed to yield and crashed into a Honda CRV carrying three people, including two juveniles, troopers said.

Melchor-Reyes was allegedly under the influence at the time of the crash.

All three people in the Honda — Rosie Sanchez, 38, a 16-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy — were injured in the crash. They were was taken to Trios Health in Kennewick.

A passenger in Melchor-Reyes’ car, Maria C. Hernandez, 69, was also injured. She was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

Both vehicles were totaled.
