Family and friends of hit-and-run victim Jason Smith of Kennewick installed a memorial sign for him in Pasco on Friday.

Smith, 36, was killed six months ago at the intersection of Sylvester Street and Road 36 by a driver who allegedly was fleeing police.

Miguel A. Paniagua, 23, is charged with four felonies related to the crash.

Smith’s father, John, helped erect the sign Friday that urges people to: “Please drive cautiously.”
