Money and other items were taken from a closed Pasco fast-food restaurant early Tuesday after a burglar climbed in through the roof.

The first shift of employees at Arby’s called 911 when they found debris on the floor of the 5115 Road 68 restaurant and thought the ceiling was falling in.

Pasco firefighters then realized that someone had broken in through the roof. Police officers spent the morning searching the area for any evidence.

The burglar reportedly used a metal ladder attached to the side of the restaurant to get onto the roof, said Pasco police Sgt. Scott Warren.

An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from a safe inside an office and other items were taken, Warren said. The suspect then walked out the back door.

No one has been arrested.

Anyone with information on the burglary or possible suspects is asked to call the Pasco Police Department at 509-545-3421.
