Franklin County Coroner has ruled the Sunday evening death of an inmate at the Franklin County jail a suicide.

The Franklin County jail inmate who died Sunday evening has been identified as Clayton Stroh, according to Franklin County Coroner Dan Blasdel.

Blasdel determined that Stroh, 41, committed suicide by using his clothing to hang himself between scheduled checks by jail guards.

Blasdel relied on prison security camera footage and the condition of the body to make his determination. An autopsy is not planned, but a toxicology screening will be completed.

Stroh was booked into the jail Friday on multiple outstanding warrants and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, said Franklin County Sheriff Jim Raymond.
