Kennewick woman cited for illegal passing

A Kennewick woman was cited for second-degree negligent driving after trying to pass in a no-passing zone and then rolling her SUV about a mile west of Connell, the Washington State Patrol said.

Shanna D. Hatchett, 41, was driving a 1999 Dodge Durango east on Highway 260 about 8 a.m. Thursday when she tried to pass, the state patrol said. She slowed for oncoming traffic, lost control, left the roadway and rolled.

She was injured and taken to Othello Community Hospital with unknown injuries.
