Kennewick man hurt in wreck

A 22-year-old Kennewick man was in serious condition Wednesday evening after being hit by a car in Kennewick.

Roberto J. Martinez was trying to cross Highway 395 just north of Clearwater Avenue at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday when he was struck by a 1998 Nissan Altima in the right turn lane, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Martinez wasn’t in a crosswalk, the patrol said. He was taken to Trios Southridge Hospital.

The Altima’s driver, Claudia Lund, 36, of Pasco, wasn’t hurt.
