Police: Blown tire causes rollover south of Kennewick

A blown tire caused a pickup truck to roll on Interstate 82, injuring a 16-year-old girl.

The crash happened Sunday night as Clement Musafu Ngani, 62, of Boardman, was driving the truck south on the interstate, said the Washington State Patrol.

The Ford F150’s tire blew seven miles south of Kennewick, sending the vehicle into the median and causing it to roll, the state patrol said.

The 16-year-old, Racky Pindy, was taken to Trios Southridge Hospital in Kennewick with unknown injuries.

Both occupants were wearing seat belts, state patrol said. The truck was totaled.
