Teen shot outside dance club

A shooting outside a Pasco dance club early Sunday left a teen dead and two suspects in jail.

Eduardo Angon Del Villar, 19, was shot several times Sunday about 1:30 a.m. outside La Tropicana nightclub on West Columbia Street. The Pasco teen died a short while later at Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco.

Police stopped a vehicle a short time later on Lewis Street and arrested Enrique Alcaide, 22, of Sunnyside, and Santos Flores Alcaide, 18, of Grandview. It’s unclear if the men are related.

Both are being held at the Franklin County jail on suspicion of murder, jail staff confirmed. Santos Flores Alcaide is also being held on suspicion of possessing a stolen gun.

Police are investigating a possible motive for the shooting. No details were released Sunday about what led up to the altercation.

Investigators found a gun close to the scene, though it’s unclear if the weapon was used in the shooting.

The shooting Sunday wasn’t the first at the dance club, which allows entry to guests 18 and older, and also serves alcohol. A drive-by shooting in 2011 outside the club injured a former owner.

Police said there haven’t been any other major incidents at the club recently.

Both suspects are expected to make an initial appearance Monday in Franklin County court.
