Toppenish man cited for DUI in Kennewick crash

A Toppenish man was injured Friday afternoon when his car hit another vehicle at the intersection of Highway 395 and 36th Avenue in Kennewick, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Rosario Martinez, 54, was cited for driving under the influence and taken to Trios Health, the state patrol said.

He was northbound on 395 in a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu shortly before 5 p.m. when he hit a 2003 Ford Explorer stopped at the traffic signal at 36th Avenue, the state patrol said. The driver and a passenger in the Explorer were not injured.
