Stolen goods worth $18,000 found in Finley man's vehicle

A Finley man was arrested early Monday when he was found dismantling equipment at a Kennewick business and had $18,000 worth of stolen property in his vehicle.

Kennewick police were called to Washington Surplus just before 1:30 a.m. after the business owner called 911, a release said. Using a security camera system he installed after a recent burglary, the owner saw someone stealing items.

Police found Kyle Trapp at the business. He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree theft and was also wanted on an outstanding felony warrant.

Investigators said it's unclear if Trapp is connected to previous burglaries at the business. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 586-TIPS-8477 or go to www.tricitiescrimestoppers.org.
