Pasco man accused of firing gun at woman
A Pasco man is in jail on $200,000 bail after allegedly shooting at a woman in another car in Pasco.
Jesus Guillermo Salas-Rubio, 25, is being held in the Franklin County jail for investigation of first-degree assault with a gun.
Salas-Rubio was arrested Monday by Pasco police and appeared in Franklin County Superior Court on Tuesday. The shooting happened April 26 in the area of Wehe Avenue and Lewis Street in Pasco, court documents said.
The 42-year-old victim, identified in court documents only as T.C., said she was at a friend's house when a man known as "Memo" showed up. During the visit, he reportedly showed her a pistol, then later received a call asking him to pick up a friend at "Larry's house," documents said.
Memo later was identified as Salas-Rubio by the victim, who picked him out in a photo lineup, documents said. Officers also said Memo is a Spanish nick-name for Guillermo, which is Salas-Rubio's middle name.
The victim said Salas-Rubio didn't know where that was, but she offered to take him there. Salas-Rubio and another unidentified person got into a gray Ford Taurus and followed the victim, who drove her own car, documents said.
The victim reportedly told police she didn't have a good feeling, so she asked a friend to go along with her.
Salas-Rubio was the passenger in the Taurus, which at some point stopped on Wehe Avenue near Whittier Elementary and the victim said she drove up along the passenger side of the car, documents said.
Salas-Rubio then allegedly rolled down the window and pointed a handgun at the victim.
She said she ducked and sped off as Salas-Rubio shot at her and her car was struck by at least one bullet that shattered the back window, documents said.
