A 42-year-old Kennewick man was killed in an Oregon crash after a suspected impaired and speeding Tri-Cities driver crashed on Sunday.

Adrian Lopez Clara, 28, of Kennewick, was heading south on Interstate 82 about midnight on July 5 when he went off the road near Umatilla, the Oregon State Police said in a release.

The black Dodge Ram pickup flipped several times, killing passenger Martin Romulo Diaz, 42, of Kennewick.

Lopez Clara and another passenger, Juan Lopez Nazairo, 48, of Kennewick, were seriously hurt and taken to a local hospital, the Oregon State Police said.

Another passenger, Jesus Lopez Clara, suffered minor injuries.

The conditions of the driver and passengers were not immediately available Tuesday.

The investigation shut down the interstate south of the Tri-Cities near the Washington-Oregon border for six hours.
