Motorcyclist hospitalized after colliding with car at busy Kennewick intersection

A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a crash with a car Thursday evening that shut down a busy Tri-Cities intersection.

The cyclist and the driver were on Gage Boulevard about 7 p.m. when one of them turned left and hit the other, said Officer Jair Ealy-Thomas. Information on who turned in front of the other is under investigation.

The 19-year-old on the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital with injuries that weren’t life-threatening, said officials.

The intersection was closed for about an hour while police investigated the collision.
