Gunshot victim with multiple wounds found at Kennewick apartments

A person was shot several times on Sunday afternoon at an apartment complex across from a Kennewick middle school.

Kennewick police were called to the Heatherstone Apartments about 1:15 p.m. and found the victim at the Q building.

The victim with possibly three gunshot wounds was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, and their condition was not immediately available.

The Heatherstone Apartments are at 1114 W. 10th Ave., across from Park Middle School.

911 callers reported hearing at least three gunshots.

More information was not immediately available. Police were continuing to investigate at the apartment complex Sunday evening.

The shooting is at the same apartment complex where a 16-year-old was shot and killed allegedly by rival gang members on Dec. 3.
