Highway 395 truck stop shooting leaves 1 person dead in Pasco
Police are investigating the shooting death of a person outside the King City Truck Stop in Pasco.
Officers were called to the truck stop off Highway 395 at East Hillsboro Street about 7 a.m. for a report of an “assault with weapons,” Lt. Tom Groom told the Tri-City Herald.
They found someone wounded outside the store, and they died at the hospital, Groom said
No one has been arrested or taken into custody, but Groom said they know who is involved and are investigating what happened.
“We do believe this it is an isolated incident,” he said. “We don’t believe there is a general threat to the community.”
Investigators closed gas pumps at the truck stop Wednesday morning. The business and neighboring roads were not affected.
Franklin County Coroner Curtis McGary confirmed his office is investigating the death.
