Shooting suspect on the run after wounding a person in Kennewick
An argument on Fourth Avenue ended with one person shot and another on the run.
The two people who knew each other were arguing on the 1500 block of Fourth Avenue about 8:15 p.m. Monday, Kennewick Commander Isaac Merkl told the Tri-City Herald.
Then, one person pulled out a gun and fired it several times, wounding the other, Merkl said.
The shooter fled before police arrived, and the wounded person was taken to a local hospital and was in stable condition. Merkl said Tuesday that the wounds aren’t life-threatening.
Police closed down Fourth Avenue between Olympia Street and Quincy Street for a time Monday night while searching for the suspect.
Merkl said Tuesday that detectives are still early in the investigation and aren’t prepared to share any information about the shooter.
Police are asking anyone with video or information about the shooting to call Kennewick police through the non-emergency dispatch number at 509-628-0333.
