Woman found shot and killed inside converted Pasco garage apartment

Pasco police are investigating the shooting death of a woman inside a Marie Street home early Wednesday.

Officers were called about 2:30 a.m. to the 1800 block of West Marie Street after the woman was shot at least once inside a detached garage that had been converted into an apartment, according to dispatch reports.

The home is on the corner of 20th Avenue and West Marie Street, across the street from Safeway, east of Highway 395 and a few blocks away from St. Patrick’s Church.

Washington State Patrol Crime Lab investigators were still at the house on Wednesday afternoon collecting evidence.

Pasco police Lt. Tom Groom confirmed detectives are investigating a homicide and that has caused officials to close down part of 20th Avenue while police investigate.

No arrest has been made and no other information about a suspect has been released.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
