Police are searching for two young men who shot into apartments in Kennewick Thursday.

Several people called 911 about 11:50 p.m. on Thursday after hearing multiple gunshots near West Canal Drive and North Arthur Street, Kennewick police said in a Facebook post. Witnesses reported seeing two young men in dark clothing running from the area and a car speeding away.

When officers arrived they found two apartments in the same four-plex had been hit, but no one inside had been hurt, Kennewick Officer Fernando Ramos told the Tri-City Herald.

Officers found multiple shell casings in the area.

While investigators haven’t determined if the shooting was gang-related, the area has seen gang activity, Ramos said.

Kennewick detectives are asking anyone with information about or video of the shooting to call 509-628-0333. People can also make an anonymous tip online.
