State patrol troopers are looking for a red SUV that collided with a motorcycle Thursday before driving away.

The SUV and a motorcycle were both heading toward downtown Kennewick on Highway 240 about 7 a.m. Wednesday when the SUV changed lanes and they collided, the Washington State Patrol reported. The crash happened near the Edison Street exit.

The motorcycle rider, Adam L. Garrison, 41, of Pasco, is in critical condition at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, the state patrol said.

Several witnesses saw the SUV that looked similar to a GMC Yukon drive away with damage to the back of it.

WSP investigators said they want to find the vehicle and the driver because of the “complexity of the collision” scene.

The state patrol is asking anyone who might have seen a red SUV like a Yukon with rear-end damage to call Detective Ryan Sauve at 509-734-5817 or email him at Ryan.Sauve@wsp.wa.gov.
