Drowsy driver crashes along Interstate 82 south of Kennewick

A sleepy driver heading south on Interstate 82 flipped his car after dozing off behind the wheel, officials said.

The man was driving his Toyota Camry toward Oregon about 5 p.m. Tuesday.

He was between the Finley and Coffin Road exits when he lost control of the car, Washington State Patrol Lt. Dustin Drout told the Tri-City Herald.

The Camry went off the highway and rolled.

He was able to get out of his car with minor injuries, Benton County Fire District 1 said in a Facebook post. The driver told officials he had fallen asleep behind the wheel.
