Man in jail after being accused of armed robbery at Benton City sandwich shop

A Benton County man in jail after being accused robbing a Subway restaurant at gunpoint.

Benton County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a robbery at the Subway on 9th Street in Benton City just after 5 p.m. on Sunday, according to a social media post.

Employees said the suspect allegedly came into the restaurant with a gun concealed in his hoodie and stole all of the money from the cash register, then ran from the scene.

Deputies set up a perimeter and called for a K9 to assist in the search but the dog was unable to track him.

After further investigation Daryl Price, 41, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of first-degree robbery.

He is being held in the Benton County jail without bail.

Online court records show Price has a 2019 conviction for second-degree robbery in Clark County and was sentenced to seven years.
