A 28-year-old customer upset with the staff at a Richland bar is accused of pulling a gun and threatening to shoot people, say police.

Jay R. Bazan II of Pasco is in the Benton County jail on investigation of second-degree assault following the confrontation at the Daisy Ranch Saloon just before 1 a.m. Saturday, said a Richland police Facebook post.

Police didn’t say what prompted the argument but Bazan was upset and threatened to get a gun.

He then walked out of the bar at the Uptown Shopping Center and returned a short time later with a handgun with a laser sight, police said.

After pointing it at several people and racking the slide, he fled.

Richland detectives tracked Bazan to Kennewick, where he was arrested on Monday.

Kennewick car prowler

Kennewick police arrested an 18-year-old man for prowling through cars on Sunday morning while armed with a gun.

A witness called police about a man seen on the 300 block of East Eighth Place trying the door handles on cars in the neighborhood, Kennewick police said in a Facebook post.

A Kennewick officer reported finding Israel Aguirre rifling through a car and when the officer tried to stop the teen, Aguirre began walking away with his hands in his pockets.

The officer followed and reported seeing Aguirre throw something under a car.

Aguirre allegedly continued to ignore commands from the officer to stop. But after other officers arrived, the teen was forced to the ground and arrested, resisting being placed in handcuffs, said the post.

Officers found an unloaded revolver with no serial number under the car where Aguirre reportedly threw it, the post said.

He was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of vehicle prowling, resisting arrest, obstructing and possession of a firearm by someone under 21.
