A Tri-Cities woman allegedly hijacked a car with a shotgun in Pasco, leading to a chase
When a man drove to a Finley home to pick up a woman on Sunday, he found her walking around holding a shotgun.
After he let Natalie I. M. Parsadanian, 25, into his BMW, police say she set into motion a series crimes including a robbery, death threats and finally a car chase.
Parsadanian, of Finley, was charged with first-degree robbery, felony harassment and motor vehicle theft in Franklin County Superior Court. She is being held in the Franklin County jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
A man told investigators that he started talking with Parsadanian five days before he offered to pick her up and hang out, according to court documents.
When he arrived at a home on South Gerards Road, he found Parsadanian walking with a shotgun near the house, court documents said.
As they were driving in Kennewick, she began telling the man that she wanted to drive the car because she was stressed, court documents said. After finally letting her drive, she went to a Pasco Pizza Hut and wanted him to to buy her pizza.
When he told her that he didn’t have any money, she became upset and allegedly started to say, “I need to kill you right now,” court documents said.
“Once Natalie started making the statements of wanting to kill him, he became fearful and didn’t know what to do,” court documents said.
They continued driving around Pasco, and as they drove down Fourth Avenue, he spotted a Franklin County sheriff’s patrol car. When she tried to turn, he grabbed the steering wheel and started yelling at her to go straight.
When he wouldn’t let go of the wheel, she allegedly told him that she was going to kill him, and turned to grab the shotgun from where it had been stashed beside the driver’s seat.
They continued to struggle until she was able to open the driver’s side door and allegedly pulled out the gun. He ran to the nearby deputy.
Parsadanian allegedly drove off with the car. She was spotted by Franklin County deputies and sped away. Deputies from Adams County joined the chase.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook that she allegedly threatened “suicide by cop.”
The car crashed into a field north of Sagehill Road and Highway 24, nearly 40 miles away from where the victim got out of the car. Parsadanian was then arrested.
