A Kennewick man was arrested Monday afternoon by Richland police after allegedly posting threats on Facebook against the Richland Police Department, the Richland School District and his family.

Logan Kenmore posted two photos of two AR-15-style rifles and a caption on his personal Facebook page, according to Richland police. In the post, he said that he planned to retaliate against perceived offenses to him and others.

Richland police said on social media that the department had investigated his claims that he’d been sex trafficked and found that they were unfounded.

“Today’s arrest reflects the Richland Police Department’s commitment to public safety and thorough investigative work,” said Interim Police Chief Craig Meidl in a statement.

“The safety of our community is of the utmost importance to all of our staff. We are committed to serving our community every day with the utmost professionalism and commitment as we strive to keep our community safe for everyone.”

Kenmore was arrested for felony harassment with threats to kill. He was booked into the Benton County jail on Monday afternoon. He is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

A family member has requested an Extreme Risk Protection Order, which would require him to surrender his guns and prevent him from buying new ones.
