1 ‘targeted’ and shot early Saturday in Tri-Cities. Officers searching for gunman
One person was shot and wounded early Saturday morning in east of Highway 395 in Kennewick, said police.
Several calls were made to 911 about 12:20 a.m. reporting gunshots fired in the area of West Fifth Avenue and South Rainier Street.
Police arrived to find one person shot and several spent shell casings in an intersection.
The person was hospitalized but the injuries were not life threatening, said police.
Police described the shooting as a “targeted offense” and said there was no ongoing threat to the public.
