89-year-old man dies a day after being hit crossing a busy Pasco street
An 89-year old man has died a day after being hit by a car while trying to cross a busy Pasco street.
Leon Gordon was crossing at the intersection of Burden and Homerun boulevards about 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, when he was struck, according to initial reports by fire crews at the time.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
An ambulance took him to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland but he died on Sunday afternoon, Benton County Coroner Bill Leach confirmed to the Herald.
Public records show Gordon lives in Portland and officials have said they were told he was visiting the area.
