Franklin County sheriff’s deputies and firefighters were called at 3:25 p.m. to the intersection of Taylor Flats Road and Birch Road after a multi-passenger van collided with a septic truck, according to dispatch reports.

Franklin County Commander Marcus Conner said the passenger van had about six people inside as it headed south on Taylor Flats Road. The truck ran a stop sign and collided with the side of the van, he said.

Conner said seven people were checked by medical professionals.

According to dispatch reports, one person was seriously hurt and two others were moderately hurt.

All the people from the van were treated at a local hospital, Conner said.
