Tri-Cities man in jail after Metro Drug Task Force busts meth lab in Kennewick garage
A Tri-Cities man is behind bars after the Tri-City Metro Drug Task Force busted a meth lab in the garage of a Kennewick home.
Just after 8 a.m. Wednesday members of the task force, the Tri-City Regional SWAT team and Washington State Patrol Clandestine Lab Team served a search warrant at a home on the 800 block of North Quillan Steet in Kennewick, according to a news release from Kennewick police.
Investigators had been looking into a possible methamphetamine lab set up in the garage of the home.
Craig Phillip Wiles, 40, was arrested on suspicion of manufacturing controlled substances and booked into the Benton County jail. He is being held in lieu of $15,000 bail.
The Tri-City Metro Drug Task Force is a regional drug task force made of city and county agencies from across the Tri-Cities and works to disrupt narcotics trafficking, illegal firearm transactions and criminal gang activity in the area.
