Man wounded in Tri-Cities shooting near Highway 395 intersection Tuesday night

One person was hurt in a shooting in Kennewick on Tuesday night near one of the Tri-Cities’ busiest intersections.

Kennewick Police officers responded to a weapons complaint on the 2700 block of West Kennewick Avenue about 10:20 p.m.

When officers arrived they found there had been a shooting and a man was being treated at a local hospital for injuries that were not life threatening.

It’s unclear if the man was in a car at the time of the shooting or if he was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle before officers arrived.

Photos from the scene posted by Kennewick police show several patrol vehicles in the parking lot of the McDonald’s on Kennewick Avenue at Highway 395.
