A shooting at a Kennewick home Saturday morning left a 25-year-old man with a life-threatening wound, according to Kennewick police.

Shayla D. Shearer, 36, has been booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of first-degree assault.

She and the man who was shot were in a domestic relationship, according to Kennewick police.

Police were called to a home on the 700 block of North Huntington Street about 9:40 a.m. Saturday morning.

The man who had been shot was taken to a hospital and Shearer was detained, according to police reports.
