3 dead after head on wreck with suspected intoxicated driver near Othello

Three people died in a head on wreck near Othello late Saturday night.

At around 11:30 p.m. Homero Vicente Victoriano, 30, of Royal City, was traveling eastbound on State Route 26 about 10 miles west of Othello, according to a news release from Washington State Patrol. Othello is about an hour north of the Tri-Cities.

Victoriano is suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol when he crossed the center line in the intersection of Road D SE and SR 26 in Grant County, and hit a vehicle driven by Eloy Romero Serrano, 78, of Royal City.

Serrano and his two passengers were killed in the wreck.

The passengers were identified as Jesus Perez Escamilla, 21, of Tlalixtaquilla de Maldonado, Mexico, and Antonia Rodriguez Barragan, 63, of Royal City.

All three were pronounced dead at the scene, according to WPS.

Victoriano was taken to Kadlec Medical Center for injuries. Charges are pending, according to the report.
