25-year-old faces vehicular homicide charge after crash near Pasco kills his friend
A 25-year-old man is in jail after his passenger was killed in an early Saturday wreck on a Franklin County road.
It’s believed that Juan Lisandor Garcia was intoxicated when he, Adrian Flores and two women started back to Moses Lake from the Tri-Cities.
The Othello man was headed north on Glade North Road when he lost control of the car about 2:30 a.m., Franklin County sheriff’s Commander Monty Huber and detectives told the Herald.
The car went off the road and he over-corrected, rolling the car several times about 23 miles north of Pasco, investigators said.
Flores, 25, was thrown from the car and died at the scene. It’s believed that he was not wearing a seat belt.
The two women who were in the car were apparently not seriously hurt and were treated at the scene of the crash.
Garcia was treated at a local hospital before being being booked into jail for vehicular homicide and two counts of vehicular assault.
An autopsy for Flores is scheduled for Tuesday at the Snohomish County Medical Examiner office, said Franklin County Coroner Curtis McGary.
Flores was a graduate of Othello High School and his family lived in the small Adams County community about an hour north of Pasco.
