Update | Woman killed by pickup as she was crossing the street in Kennewick

A woman was killed Tuesday afternoon after being hit crossing the street near a busy Kennewick intersection.

Bobbilee Martin, 32, was struck by a pickup truck near the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Olympia Street about 2:45 p.m., according to police.

She was legally crossing Olympia Street and was in the crosswalk when she was hit by the Dodge 3500, said a release. The driver was turning left onto Olympia Street from 4th Avenue.

Martin died at the scene after suffering internal injuries.

The driver of the Dodge truck pulled over immediately after the crash and cooperated with police. Alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this collision, said the release.

The driver’s name was not released.

The collision is still under investigation by the Kennewick Police Department Traffic Unit.
