2 Tri-Cities 15-year-olds arrested in connection with Othello convenience store shooting
Police arrested two Tri-City teenagers in connection with an early Wednesday shooting at an Othello convenience store.
The 15-year-olds were at the Pic-a-Pop near Highway 26 when an argument started with another customer about 12:45 a.m., Othello Assistant Chief David Rehaume told the Herald.
Police are still trying to figure out what started the argument.
But as the 25-year-old Coulee Dam man was leaving the store, one of the 15-year-olds started shooting at him in the doorway.
The Coulee Dam man was driven by private vehicle to Othello Community Hospital with life-threatening wounds.
And police tracked the suspected 15-year-old shooter and a 15-year-old associate to Tri-Cities where they lived, Rehaume said.
Investigators are continuing to search for a third juvenile allegedly involved.
Kennewick police along with the Othello police and the FBI found the teens were at a home on the 200 block of South Harrison Street in Kennewick.
The Tri-City SWAT team was called in to help and the teens were arrested a little more than 12 hours after the shooting.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Othello Police at 509-488-3314.
