Two units with people inside at the Kamiakin Apartments were hit by gunfire Friday night, according to Kennewick police.

Police were called to the complex at 4711 Metaline Ave., not far from Kamiakin High School, at 8:30 p.m. after several people called 911 after hearing multiple shots in the parking lot and saw people running away.

Officers found spent bullet casings in the parking lot, and that walls in two occupied apartments had been hit.

No one inside was inured, said police.
