Victim says he was shot in the back in an east Pasco neighborhood
A man was was in stable condition Friday after being found shot in the back in an east Pasco neighborhood.
Three gunshots were heard in the area around East Butte Street and South Owen Avenue about 12:30 a.m. Friday, according to 911 dispatch reports.
Around the same time, dispatchers received a call from a man who said he had just been shot. He told emergency dispatchers that he was shot in the back and didn’t know who pulled the trigger.
Witnesses reported the man was lying behind a white pickup on a sidewalk.
Officers found the man on the sidewalk wounded several time, according to a Pasco police Twitter post.
He was taken to a local hospital and, later, was reported to be in stable condition.
Investigators found a gun near where the man was shot. No other information was released.
