Watch explosion inside Tri-Cities school. It’s training for an active shooter

The Tri-City Regional SWAT Team rushes through a doorway breached with explosives during active shooter training this week at Ridgeview Elementary School in Kennewick.

The officers from local agencies are using the vacant building before it’s torn down to make way for a new school.

The SWAT team includes officers from Kennewick, Richland, Pasco, West Richland, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

They are using the vacant building before it’s torn down to make way for a new school building.

The Kennewick Police Department is scheduled to hold its annual active shooter training in early August at Kamiakin High School.
