A patient robber with a note held up a Queensgate bank in Richland

A Richland bank robber stood patiently in line Wednesday behind other customers before using a note to demand money.

Richland police Sgt. Damon Jansen said the robber held up the Chase Bank at 2701 Queensgate Dr. in south Richland just before 12:50 p.m.

The man walked into the bank, stood in line with other customers and then “presented a note to the teller when it was his turn,” said Jansen.

He then left the bank across the street from Krispy Kreme Doughnuts with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in a light-colored SUV.

The suspect was wearing a hoodie, baggy clothes and a cloth face mask.

Anyone with information about the robbery, can contact Detective Eric Edwards at 509-942-7368 or dispatchers at 509-628-0333.
