A fight over a woman ended with 25 shots fired in crowded Tri-Cities mobile home park
A shooter, an accomplice and the intended target were all arrested in connection to a drive-by shooting last week in a Kennewick mobile home park.
Khiry Yoswah Jackson, 32, and Michael Figueroa, 46, were fighting about a woman, when Jackson and Deacon Angelo Stevenson, 45, drove to the Klamath Mobile Home Park on Klamath Avenue at 10:30 a.m. Friday, according to court records.
Jackson was a passenger in a late 90s pickup when he allegedly jumped out with a rifle and shot at Figueroa’s mobile home and car more than 25 times, damaging both.
No one was hurt in the shooting, but police said the neighborhood is crowded.
He then hopped back into the truck and Stevenson drove away.
As police were checking the area, Figueroa came out to check on his damaged car. When police contacted him, he hid behind a a vehicle and took a gun out of his waistband and threw it away, police said.
Police found the gun, and Figueroa was arrested for illegal gun possession and outstanding warrants.
Officers found the pickup Saturday on the 100 block of North Fillmore Street about three miles away.
Stevenson and Jackson were arrested on Tuesday. Stevenson told officers he was driving.
Jackson denied knowing anything about the shooting.
Jackson is being held in Benton County jail on $200,000 bail on suspicion of first degree assault, drive-by shooting and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Stevenson is in Benton County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail on suspicion of drive-by shooting.
Figueroa is in Benton County jail on $20,000 bail for unlawful gun possession.
