Pickup truck smashes through store window in Richland’s Uptown

A driver hit the gas rather than the brakes sending a pickup hurtling through a window at a Richland consignment store

The driver was parking outside of Amber Rose Consignment Boutique at the Uptown Shopping Center just before 5 p.m. when he hit the gas, Richland police said.

The vehicle narrowly missed one of the owners at the front desk before stopping almost entirely inside the store.

No one was hurt, and drugs and alcohol were not involved in the crash.

While the owners and the driver were not hurt, the damage has closed the shop, according to a Facebook post.

“We will be closed until we can get everything cleaned up and make it safe to shop,” according to the post. “Thanks for all of your prayers and concern. We are thankful for you all!”
