Man shot and killed in Richland hotel parking lot

A man was shot and killed in the parking lot of the former Shilo inn in Richland on Saturday morning.

There were reports of gunfire about 10 a.m. outside the Riverfront Hotel off George Washington Way. It’s unknown if there was more than one shot fired.

A man was found with a serious wound and died at the scene, confirmed coroner officials.

A witness told the Herald that a man and a woman were seen in handcuffs in a nearby parking lot.

Richland Detective Sgt. Drew Florence confirmed about noon that they had several people detained in connection with the shooting but no more details were being released pending further investigation.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Richland police.
