Girl arrested in Richland for stabbing relative then jumping out 2nd-story window

Richland police have arrested a girl who reportedly stabbed a family member then jumped out a second story window.

Officers were called to the 1600 block of Jadwin Avenue on Friday morning, according to a police Facebook post.

Officers surrounded the home and got the rest of the people outside.

The wounded family member’s injuries were not life-threatening, Richland police said.

The girl opened a second-story window, jumped out and dashed away before police could catch her.

Officers tried using a police dog to track her but were not able to find her.

They soon arrested a girl matching her description in a field near O’Reilly’s Auto Parts.

No more information, including the age of the girl, was released.
