Man shot in parking lot of Kennewick motel. Police searching for suspect

A 38-year-old man drove himself to the hospital Sunday night after he was shot in the parking lot of a Kennewick motel along Highway 395.

Andre Sanchez was released overnight after being treated for a gunshot wound at Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco.

No one is in custody.

Police were called at 8:30 p.m. to the 300 N. Ely St. motel for reports of a shooting, said Lt. Aaron Clem.

Everyone was gone by the time officers arrived.

A suspect has not been identified by police, but Kennewick detectives are working the case, said Clem.

They believe it was an isolated incident because it appears the victim and the suspect know each other, he said.

Anyone who has information on the shooting is encouraged to call the non-emergency dispatch number at 509-682-0333 and reference case #20-28824.
